Dr. Melissa Young

Dr. Melissa Young is an Assistant Professor at Emory University who specializes in the areas of maternal nutrition, breastfeeding and child nutrition.  She has training in human nutrition, epidemiology, community nutrition and applied economics. Dr. Young’s experience ranges across the spectrum from biochemical/clinical nutrition to implementation research and design and evaluation of public health nutrition programs and policies. Dr. Young is interested in Epidemiology, Global Health, Maternal and Child Health, and Nutrition. She obtained a Bachelor of Science in 2006 from Iowa State University, and a doctorate from Cornell University in 2011.
